Frescamar has been present at the conference on sustainable aquaculture in the framework of the so-called SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) through its participation in the workshops offered, as well as through the tasting of one of its star products, Corvina REX.
This is a meeting organized by the Acuiplus cluster in collaboration with the Higher Technical School of Agronomic, Food and Biosystems Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
The head of Sustainability of Andromeda Group in Spain (aquaculture group in which Frescamar is integrated) has participated in the table entitled “Committed to a socially responsible, egalitarian and inclusive sector”.
Thus, Eduardo Soler has contributed to disseminating the role of aquaculture in the fulfillment of the SDGs in a forum for dialogue between the agents involved that aimed to identify the current situation of aquaculture and analyze its alignment in the framework of social responsibility and equality.
The round table was attended by Mariana Toussaint (Fishery Trade Expert of FAO), Cristóbal Aguilera (Innovation and Business Development of IRTA) and José Luis Tejedor (General Director of Dibaq Group).
All this in a complete, dynamic and participatory day, consisting of four workshops attended by researchers, students, representatives of the Administration, professionals from the sector and other groups involved.
Alignment and commitment of aquaculture with the SDGs
The meeting, focused on the alignment and commitment of the aquaculture sector with the Sustainable Development Goals, has been held at the facilities of the Polytechnic University of Madrid coinciding with the annual meeting of Acuiplus.
Frescamar has been invited as a reference company in the sector and an example of how aquaculture is aligned with the SDGs.
